BVAZ grew from small groups into a year round academy across Zürich. Every session connects technique, tactics and game decisions.

Since day one.
More than 100 people came together for the first BVAZ Opening: 64 players, 32 mixed teams, 60 matches, food, drinks, prizes and a full day that went well beyond a tournament. Our thanks to ActiCare by Silvia Mathys, who kept players moving with sports massages and contributed winner prizes; Pizzeria Da Noi, who fed a crowd of hungry athletes and added prizes; and Mateus, who sponsored the day and backed BVAZ throughout Summer ’26.

Three different paths into the sport, brought together by one coaching standard.

Alessandro Perusini
Founder · Head coach
Alessandro played indoor volleyball professionally in Italy. He moved to beach volleyball in 2015, competed on the Italian regional and national circuits, then built his coaching work in Zürich around technical development, game understanding and structured training. He remains active as a player on the Swiss A Tour.

Elisa Vasta
Coach
Elisa played indoor volleyball in Italy’s Serie B and competed in the Italian youth beach volleyball championship, alongside regional tournaments. Her experience across both disciplines informs her approach to technique, movement and the game on sand.

Valentina Grisendi
Coach
Valentina has extensive experience as a player in high level Swiss youth volleyball. At BVAZ she introduces newer players to beach volleyball, combining solid sporting foundations with a genuine love for the game.

Do I need to know my level?
No. Your experience, tournament history and training goals help us identify the right starting point.
What happens if a group is full?
You can join the waiting or substitute list and be contacted when a compatible place becomes available.
Can I miss a session?
Season places are booked for the complete programme. When you cannot attend, a suitable substitute can take your place under the group policy.
